Back in September my Isaac turned a startling FOUR years old! We worked out a theme with his latest obsession.. Star Wars. Though his introduction and knowledge of Star Wars comes entirerly from Lego Star Wars and Angry Birds Star Wars. Pinterest was my helper. Seriously. What did we ever do with out Pins? My lovely husband and family lent their creative genius too. We ended up with a party that would make George Lucas proud. Even Darth made an appearance.
Finally. It’s been a day over a month since we packed up and moved. It sure doesn’t feel that long! It’s taken some time, and will take a little bit more.. but we are starting to feel at home here. Still getting used to the area, to my husbands new schedule, to life away from family. But we’re getting there..
Been hookin’ some baby boy things… We’re over halfway there to meeting these two little guys!
Wish I could show you something productive from my little crochet world. Alas, I cannot. I’ve started a few projects but have no finishes.
October has come and gone. November is hastily moving along.
We went through Hurricane Sandy, which for us amounted to a bunch of rain and wind, but no damage. Our neighbors on the coast were not so lucky. Much flooding, much destruction and chaos. Their plight continues as they put their lives and homes back together, piece by piece in the bitter cold and snow.
Halloween came shortly after and I dressed my little man as a cute spike covered dinosaur. He rocked it and was all business as he went door to door trick or treating. Only tiring when his bucket became to heavy to carry. We have a major sweet tooth on our hands.
The election is over and done with. Our president, Barack Obama, has been re-elected for another term. Some are excited, some are not. I won’t get into politics on this little blog though. Not my purpose. But it’s part of life, you know?
We’ve been through some illness with my boy. Through some temper tantrums and glum. But once again.. That is life, you know? We have a lot of love, of which I am very very thankful for. A blessed life.
We are looking ahead to the future. Lot of blessings, lots of changes ahead. What we once had time for in our life we can not always find time for now. These days and years are speeding by. Lightning fast. All we can do is enjoy the ride.
Love as we live.
Life happens, you know?
What YOU doing, mommy? This is a question I here ten gazillion times a day from my Isaac. The way he says it is very reminiscent of a certain character on a certain TV show.. Can you guess who I’m talking about? Anywho, the point of this post is to give you a taste of our life in recent days.
Sunny days keepin’ the clouds away..

It’s been a whirlwind past few weeks. Here’s a peek of our happenings..
Out for a bike around the block. We play “The Mailbox Game”.. Isaac is allowed to go to the next mailbox and wait for me to catch up and then he can go to the next. Keeps him moving at a safe pace, and keeps it fun for him.
One of our weekends was spent in Maryland watching my Maryland State Police Candidate husband run a race with his class. Isaac and I were able to walk around a beautiful park. The little guys favorite part was saying hi to men and women in uniform. At one point a mounted officer clip clopped by on her horse and looked down at Isaac to say hi. Isaac responded in kind and then as she left he looked up at me in awe and said “That was Yawesome!” (Yawesome=awesome in Isaac speak) He is quite proud of the profession his daddy has chosen!
September has already brought us some beautiful fall weather. Cool days, leaves beginning their change. And more fun and beauty is to be had as September winds down into October! Life just keeps on moving forward and we are enjoying the ride!
Phew, summer is beginning to fade.. the leaves are starting to turn. Crazy crazy! I have a special post in progress, for another day. Today I will just give you a sampling of this past weeks shenanigans.
